Job summary

This position handles patient transactions, assists customers, and helps maintain a clean, welcoming environment inside a clinical setting.

The role requires accurate cash handling, confidentiality, and teamwork with the pharmacy staff. Evening and occasional weekend work may be needed; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service or cashier roles preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• General knowledge of Medicare and health insurance plans preferred.
• Experience with computers, data entry, and standard office equipment preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially.

Responsibilities

• Receive payments and issue receipts for patients.
• Balance cash drawer at end of day.
• Protect patient information during transactions.
• Provide courteous, responsive service in a fast-paced pharmacy setting.
• Keep the pharmacy and department clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Assist with office tasks and pharmacy systems as needed.
• Work evenings or weekends as required.
