Job summary

Walgreens in Medford, NY is hiring for a Customer Experience-focused team member. You will greet customers, process transactions on the cash register, and help customers with products and services to create a welcoming, efficient checkout experience.

You will also engage customers, assist with OTC products when relevant, maintain store appearance, and support asset protection while complying with company policies. Flexible hours including weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register, collects cash and distributes change as requested; processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
• Recommends items for sale to customer and recommends trade-up and/or companion items. Assists with OTC products, and takes customer to aisle when possible.
• Operates pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status.
• Reports prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adheres to policies in relation to pharmacy errors.
• Keeps counters and shelves clean and merchandised; checks in and prices merchandise; maintains records.
