You’ll handle payments, manage basic inventory, maintain patient records, and assist customers with questions. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational and communication skills and experience in a fast-paced pharmacy or medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Receive prescriptions and verify accuracy before input.
• Maintain proper storage and inventory of medications.
• Receive incoming inventory, log it in the system, and store it properly.
• Maintain patient records, inventory logs, and related documentation.
• Accept payment for prescriptions and small transactions.
• Answer phones and assist customers in a friendly manner.
• Greet customers and assist with collecting payment and insurance information.
• Keep shelves organized and perform regular inventory checks.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Pharmacy Cashier to join our team! As a Pharmacy Cashier, you will be receiving incoming prescriptions, checking for accuracy, and inputting that information into our system. You will also be accepting payments for prescriptions, receiving incoming inventory, and answering customer questions and concerns. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, exceptional customer service skills, and prior experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive written and faxed prescriptions from both patients and doctor’s offices, verify the information is accurate, and input it into the system as needed
• Maintain proper storage and inventory of all medications in the pharmacy
• Receive incoming inventory, verify the accuracy log it within the system, and put it away as needed
• Maintain proper pharmacy records, including patient profiles, inventory logs, and more
• Accept payment for prescriptions and small transactions
• Answer phones and handle customer inquiries, referring to the pharmacy as needed
• Greet customers as they come to the pharmacy
• Answer phone calls
• Collect payment and insurance information
• Give orders to customers
• Keep the shelves organized and clean
• Make regular inventory checks
