Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the states within the district within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmacy consulting on medication usage, interactions, and preventive healthcare services.
• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and generics; refers to providers as needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management; reviews dispensed meds for accuracy.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and follows Good Faith Dispensing policies and state/federal laws.
• Maintains pharmacy systems knowledge and supports insurance claim processing to minimize rejections.
• Develops relationships with local medical community and supports community outreach to promote Walgreens.
