Job summary

ASPN Pharmacies is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to support prescription intake, verify insurance, and assist with prior authorizations and appeals, while maintaining timely communication with physicians, pharmacies and patients.

You will work in a high-volume call center environment, requiring strong data entry, HIPAA compliance, and superb customer service skills; remote options may be available depending on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years pharmacy experience.
• Experience in a call center or customer service role preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws, practices, and PHI handling.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume call center inquiries with empathy and accuracy.
• Verify insurance coverage and assist with prior authorizations.
• Coordinate prescription processing with dispensing pharmacies.
• Maintain thorough documentation and timely communication with physicians and pharmacies.
• Protect PHI and adhere to HIPAA and SOPs.
