Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Buyer (State Certified Pharmacy Tech) at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center in Florence, SC. This role ensures procurement of pharmaceuticals and maintains inventory control to support Pharmacy Services.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, completion of a certified pharmacy technician program, SC State Certified Pharmacy Technician registration, and at least three years in a pharmacy technician role; management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; completed certified pharmacy technician program required.
• Three years of experience in pharmacy technician role to reach competency; management experience preferred.
• State Certified Pharmacy Technician Registration in SC required.

Job Description

Responsible for the Pharmacy procurement program to provide pharmaceuticals to the Pharmacy Services and maintenance of inventory control. Responsible for the collation, preparation, distribution, filing and maintenance of all Pharmacy correspondence, reports and/or policy material.

Education

High School Diploma required; college-level courses desirable but not required; successful completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program required

Experience

Three years in position required to reach competency level. Management experience preferred.

Licensures/Certifications

State Certified Pharmacy Technician Registration in SC REQUIRED
