Job summary

Right Dose Pharmacy, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, seeks a Billing Specialist to process patient bills and insurance claims in Ankeny, IA, delivering accurate handling of enrollment and reimbursement workflows.

You will verify eligibility, resolve issues, and support facilities with Medicare/Medicaid plans while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance and high service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification per state requirements; National Certification preferred (PTCB).

Responsibilities

• Process patient bills and insurance claims accurately and timely.
• Enter and update patient/insurance information in billing system; are accountable for daily and month-end billing.
• Respond to billing inquiries by phone or electronic communications; research and resolve issues.
• Run Medicare plan comparisons and review patient profiles to optimize coverage and costs.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient files for audits.
• Collaborate with team across departments to meet service goals.
