Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. is seeking a billing specialist to manage patient billing and insurance rejections, verify eligibility, and process state prior authorizations. You will interact with insurers and CMS, ensuring accurate claims and timely updates across the system.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, experience with third-party rejections, and familiarity with long-term care pharmacy billing. Flexibility to work nights/weekends is a plus.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with third party rejections preferred.
• Experience in long term care pharmacy billing preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be detail oriented and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties assigned by the Billing Supervisor.
• Research and establish patient eligibility coverage with insurance providers.
• Determine and process insurance rejections per daily report.
• Maintain and update patient billing and insurance information in the system.
• Submit prior authorizations for State insurance.
• Interact daily with insurance companies regarding overrides and rejections.
• Coordinate with client facilities staff and CMS/NJM/ NYM as needed.
• Follow up and resolve pending billing issues.
