Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy technician license or registration per state requirements; national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and establish patient eligibility coverage with insurance providers and reverify benefits.
• Enter and update patient/insurance information accurately in the billing system.
• Respond to billing inquiries via phone or electronic communications and resolve issues.
• Process prescription claims adjudication including interactions with insurers.
• Maintain patient files and ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
• Rotate through departments to gain cross-functional knowledge.
