Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Maine in Brunswick, ME is seeking a Billing/Pharmacy Technician to process patient billing and insurance claims with accuracy and timeliness. You will assist with daily and month-end billing functions and provide excellent service to patients, caregivers, and providers.

Responsibilities include researching eligibility, updating records, and handling inquiries. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, PDPs, and third-party insurances is essential in a fast-paced, team-focused

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration per state.
• National Certification (PTCB) preferred (pharmacy specific).
• 1+ years of related billing experience and pharmacy tech exposure.
• Advanced computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Process patient bills and insurance claims accurately and timely.
• Enter and update patient/insurance data in billing system; handle inquiries.
• Research eligibility, coverage, and benefits; assist with open enrollment.
• Support Medicare/Medicaid, PDPs and third-party insurances requirements.
• Maintain patient files and documentation; respond to audits.
• Assist with daily census, open enrollment, and reporting tasks.
