Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Benefits Verification Technician to support members, providers, and insurers by ensuring accurate insurance verification and prescription claims processing. The role is based in Ohio with hybrid work, primarily remote, and a schedule of Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime.

You will verify eligibility, resolve claims issues, coordinate with PBM services, and assist pharmacists and internal teams with audits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Ohio pharmacy technician license.
• National certification (PTCB or NHA).
• 1–2+ years pharmacy experience (PBM, managed care, retail or mail order).
• Strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits via calls and follow-up.
• Resolve prescription and claims issues for timely adjudication.
• Coordinate with PBM services to support accurate billing.
• Assist pharmacists and teams with audits and compliance reviews.
• Document all communications and resolutions per payer rules.

Job description

Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented Pharmacy Benefits Verification Technician to support members, providers, and insurance carriers by ensuring accurate insurance verification and prescription claims processing. This is an excellent opportunity for a state-licensed and nationally certified Pharmacy Technician who enjoys problem‑solving and working in a collaborative, fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Locations

North Canton, OH | Hybrid, but primarily remote (1-2 days a month if needed)

Pay Rate

$22.50/hour

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 11:30 AM–8:00 PM; occasional Saturdays (9:00 AM–5:00 PM) and overtime as business needs require

What You’ll Do:

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits through outbound calls and follow‑up communications
• Resolve prescription and claims issues to ensure timely adjudication
• Coordinate with Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) services to support accurate billing
• Assist pharmacists and internal teams with audits and compliance reviews
• Document all correspondence, escalations, and resolutions in accordance with payer and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Active State Pharmacy Technician license (Ohio )
• National certification (PTCB or NHA)
• 1-2+ years of pharmacy experience (retail, mail order, specialty, PBM, or managed care)
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills
• Claims adjudication and secondary billing
• Medicaid and discount card processing
• PBM or managed care environment
