Job summary

El Centro Family Health is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant I to support the clinic pharmacy operations. You will maintain the clinic drug room, prepare medications for dispensing, and support satellite clinics with pharmacy resources while ensuring patient confidentiality and adherence to policies.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years in a pharmacy/medical setting, CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain), and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years in pharmacy or medical setting.
CPR/BLS certification, or ability to obtain certification within 3 months of hire.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Intermediate knowledge/expertise with PC hardware and software (Word and Excel).
Ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Ensure quality patient care by following El Centro Family Health policies.
Provide high level of customer service to patients and staff.
Order clinic drug supplies.
Prepare medication for dispensing from clinic drug room.
Serve as pharmacy resource support for satellite clinics.
