The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) seeks a Pharmacy Assistant 8 at the Center for Forensic Psychiatry in Saline, MI. This licensed technician will prepare medications, transport orders, maintain stock, and handle inventory reconciliation in compliance with state and federal rules.
The role requires a Michigan pharmacy technician license, two years of pharmacy experience, and an associate degree or a one-year certificate as substitution. Background checks apply.

The incumbent of this position is a senior worker within the pharmacy and hospital performing the complex duties as a licensed pharmacy technician. Duties of this position include Medication preparation activities, pick up and delivery/transporting/conveyance of medication orders and medication to and from patient unit, record keeping and stock control. Ensuring proper charging, crediting, and reimbursement for pharmaceuticals and related drug products. Maintaining pharmacy inventory records and reconciliation. This position functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. This is a test designated position subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Civil Service Rules & Regulations and contractual provisions.
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Two years of experience assisting in a pharmacy, including the filling of requisitions for medications. Possession of an associate's degree in pharmacy technology, or completion of a one-year pharmacy certificate program may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Pharmacy Assistant 8 requires possession of a Michigan temporary, limited, or full pharmacy technician license, in accordance with Public Act 285 of 2014.
The preferred and appointed candidate will be subject to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty and follow-up drug and/or alcohol testing.
