Job summary

Unity Care NW is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing under supervision, manage inventory, and handle patient deliveries. You will process payments, monitor refill queues, and input requests into the EMR while routing prior authorizations as needed.

The role requires a WA Pharmacy Assistant license (or ability to obtain), along with strong communication, accuracy, and customer service skills. Monday–Friday hours with occasional Saturdays in rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of higher education or equivalent work experience.
• Current Washington State Pharmacy Assistant license - can be obtained upon offer acceptance.
• Current BLS Certification (can provide training upon hire).
• Current and valid Washington State driver’s license.
• General office skills, including data entry and computing skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR review.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dispensing of prescriptions under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assist with inventory control and deliver prescriptions to patients' homes.
• Collect payment at time of service and route fax refill queues.
• Enter incoming refill requests into the EMR system and route to appropriate recipients.
• Route documents pertaining to prescriptions including prior authorization requests.

Compensation

• Non-exempt, hourly
• The standard wage range for this role is $22.71 to $26.71 per hour.
• It may be possible to earn more over time up to $30.66 per hour.
• Saturday shift differential of 10%

Work Schedule

• 40 hours per week Monday-Friday
• Saturday rotation required which equates to working 1 Saturday per month with a day off the previous week (so it's not overtime)

Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist with tasks related to the dispensing of prescriptions, assist with inventory control, collect payment at time of service, and deliver prescriptions directly to patients' homes. The Pharmacy Assistant will also monitor clinic fax refill queues and enter incoming refill requests into the Electronic Medical Records system and route to appropriate recipients, as well as route other documents received pertaining to prescriptions including prior authorization requests.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications (not required)

• Previous customer service or delivery experience
• Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish)
