Texas Oncology is looking for a Pharmacy/Admixture Technician to join our team! This position will support the Dallas, TX location. The role level (1, 2, or Sr) will depend on the candidate's experience.
Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country, with approximately 600+ providers across 220+ sites in Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. We treat half of all Texans diagnosed with cancer annually.
Join our team responsible for leading Texas Oncology in treating more cancer patients than any other provider in Texas. Under supervision, the Tech performs medication preparation, distribution, record keeping, and inventory control, with verification by a registered nurse or pharmacist. Tasks adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program and state laws regarding compounding and mixing responsibilities.
Level 1: High School diploma or equivalent; 0-3 years pharmacy experience.
Level 2: 3-5 years pharmacy experience with IV skills; IV certification preferred; Pharmacy Tech certification recommended.
Level Sr: 5-7 years pharmacy experience with IV skills; Oncology background or extensive IV prep preferred; ASCP or community college program completion recommended.
Includes manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and visual and auditory acuity. Reasonable accommodations available.
Primarily office setting with exposure to patients and potential hazardous substances. Safety protocols are enforced.
