Northwest Cancer Centers in Northwest Indiana seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist in medication preparation under pharmacist supervision. The role includes compounding or admixing, verifying orders, and ensuring accurate record-keeping in a clinical oncology setting.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and pharmacy experience (entry to 3 years). The position is in-office with exposure to chemotherapy agents and requires adherence to OSHA guidelines and quality controls.

Under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist working within a licensed pharmacy, performs the technical, nonjudgemental aspects of medication preparation, distribution, record keeping and inventory control. Tasks are subject to sequential or final verification by a registered nurse or a registered pharmacist. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Specific state law may regulate that only licensed individuals perform compounding or mixing responsibilities. As a result, certain incumbents are prohibited from said tasks.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in a pharmacy (entry level to three years).
