Job summary

Voy is hiring a Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) on-site in Wallingford. You will check prescriptions with precision, support daily dispensary operations, and report to the Responsible Pharmacist.

This role emphasizes patient safety, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will hold GPhC registration, ACT qualification (or be enrolled in accredited training), and thrive in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment with flexible

Qualifications

• Be registered with the GPhC as a pharmacist regulator.
• Hold a recognised ACT qualification or be actively enrolled in accredited ACT training.
• Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise and patient safety.
• Able to work to strict deadlines while maintaining safety and compliance.
• Passion for pharmacy and customer care.
• Collaborative team-oriented approach and excellent communication with customers.
• Solid knowledge of pharmacy operations and national/local services.
• Excellent face-to-face communication skills for diverse patients.
• Flexible working hours to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and operational guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with practice standards.
• Check dispensed prescriptions and dispatch orders to couriers.
• Manage near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Work with Risk and Safety to root cause incidents.
• Coordinate with Service and internal teams to ensure timely dispatch.
• Contribute to service development and patient experience improvements.
• Train and develop pharmacy staff with Pharmacy Manager.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Manager and Supply Chain to manage inventory.
