Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Five years of public accounting or healthcare industry experience.
• Strong Excel and analytic skills.
• Self-directed with timeliness and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Manages revenue cycle portion of the financial close for a multi-specialty plan of 370+ employed physicians.
• Prepares financial statement packages for physician practices and the hospital for senior financial management.
• Prepares monthly analyses of revenue cycle trends for physician practices and the hospital.
• Prepares monthly analyses of bad debt, free care and contractual reserves on the balance sheet.
• Provides net revenue assumptions for long-term financial plans and budgets for physician practices and hospital.
• Maintains understanding of reimbursement for physician practices through collaboration with contracting.
• Becomes expert user of the Epic patient accounting system and develops advanced report writing.
• Handles ad-hoc reports requests from senior financial reporting and verifies profitability reporting with Decision Support.
• Becomes expert user of Insights contracting system to compare expected vs. actual payments.
• Represents Corporate Finance at divisional meetings with Medical Affairs and internal constituents.
• Prepares community benefit analysis for RUMG.
• Acts as project lead for financial audits and liaison to external agencies.
