Job Overview

As part of Cigna Pharmacy Management, the Pharmacy Account Management Advisor serves as the primary pharmacy benefits subject matter expert supporting Cigna Pharmacy clients in our under 500 employee market segment.

The Pharmacy Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, brokers/consultants, supporting medical sales teams with client retention & growth strategies, and providing expertise in implementation, reporting, and service functions.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Retain assigned book of business.
  • Educate and advance pharmacy knowledge within the Cigna medical sales organization.
  • Participate in client meetings to review performance and promote pharmacy management programs.
  • Identify opportunities to expand pharmacy earnings for Cigna.
  • Collaborate with medical sales, underwriting, and other teams on pricing, intelligence, and renewal strategies.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Coordinate service delivery messaging across operational areas.
  • Facilitate service concern resolution and act as escalation contact for pharmacy issues.
  • Engage in finalist meetings for new and existing business.
  • Analyze pharmacy utilization and provide consultative solutions.
  • Understand client needs, goals, and objectives.
  • Support pricing, audits, and contracts.
  • Explain pharmacy coverage rules based on policies or with clinical support.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of PBM experience supporting clients.
  • Experience with consultative client management.
  • Ability to manage renewals independently.
  • Strong organizational and organizational navigation skills.
  • Operational understanding of PBM business model and financial strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
