Job summary

GHR Travel Nursing is seeking a Pharmacy Patient Financial Advocate to join a hospital setting in the Kansas City, KS area. You will support prior authorizations, medication assistance, and insurance follow-up to help patients access therapies.

This 13-week travel contract offers a Monday-Friday schedule with 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 40 hours weekly, and a focus on high-volume pharmacy workflows. Proficiency with EPIC and CoverMyMeds is preferred.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in insurance billing, revenue cycle, and prior authorizations.
Experience with EPIC and CoverMyMeds required.
High school diploma plus 3 years of relevant work experience, or an associate degree plus 1 year of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

Submit prior authorizations for prescriptions and specialty medications.
Complete medication assistance and grant funding applications for patients.
Contact insurance companies for status updates and authorization follow-up.
Pull chart notes and supporting documentation from EPIC.
Support patients and internal teams with clear, timely communication.
Maintain accurate records and help keep pharmacy access workflows moving efficiently.
