Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant post-degree work in bioinformatics or related field.
• Master's or PhD preferred.
• Strong experience with EHR-based phenotype extraction and curation.
• Experience with NLP, ontology, and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide research support and deliver high-quality results by formulating an efficient analytical approach with the available data.
• Develop and implement informatics tools to enhance phenotyping and enable deep phenotyping.
• Collaborate with clinicians and data scientists to co-develop phenotyping algorithms.
• Evaluate new methods and technologies and document processes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team projects and manuscript preparation when appropriate.
• Maintain regular attendance and contribute to department goals.
