Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our team in Missouri City, TX, to help customers access medications easily, verify prescriptions, and provide virtual consultations.

The role involves medical and regulatory compliance, dispensing medications, and ensuring efficient workflow within a fast-paced environment. This full-time position offers exposure to state and federal regulations and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
• Active pharmacist license in state of employment
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
• Proficiency with basic computer functions and pharmacy systems

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical data review, prescription verification, and virtual patient consultations.
• Manage end-to-end prescription fulfillment including dispensing medications and automated systems.
• Package and prepare prescriptions for shipment, including refrigerated and bulk items.
• Maintain strict quality standards and safety protocols while meeting CPT and production targets.
• Split time between prescription verification and fulfillment based on needs.
• Perform DUR and ensure accurate documentation in pharmacy systems.
• Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory effectively and compliantly.
• Collaborate with technicians and other pharmacists to maintain workflow.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and adapt to changing priorities.
• Support operational excellence and quality initiatives.
• Identify and report quality or safety concerns promptly.
