Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Staff Pharmacist in Texas City, TX to join our team delivering safe, affordable, and accessible medication services. You will perform clinical data reviews, verify prescriptions, and provide virtual patient consultations in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include end-to-end prescription fulfillment, handling of refrigerated and bulk medications, maintaining quality and safety, and collaborating with pharmacy technicians to sustain an efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or PharmD degree required and active pharmacist license
• Understanding of pharmacy laws and regulations governing patient care
• Proficiency with basic computer functions and pharmacy systems

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical data review, prescription verification, and virtual patient consultations per state and federal regulations
• Manage end-to-end prescription fulfillment, including dispensing medications with automated systems and manual fill
• Package and prepare prescriptions for shipment, including refrigerated and bulk items
• Maintain quality standards and safety protocols while meeting CPT and production targets
• Split time between verification and fulfillment duties based on operational needs
• Perform DUR and ensure accurate documentation in pharmacy systems
• Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory effectively and compliantly
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other pharmacists to maintain efficient workflow
• Demonstrate attention to detail and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify and report quality or safety concerns promptly with regulatory compliance
• Complete daily tasks including processing returns, rejects, substitutions, and canister approvals
