Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Lawrenceville is seeking a Unit Based Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical services and ensure safe drug therapy. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Pharmacy with an active Georgia Pharmacy license. Preferred qualifications include hospital pharmacy experience and strong communication skills. This position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week plus every fourth weekend.

• One year of previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to healthcare providers.
• Advises on drug interactions and contraindications to ensure safe drug therapy.
• Serves all patient demographics including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

As part of the health care team, practices Pharmacy as a knowledge-based clinical profession, and integrates patient-oriented services with traditional distributive and drug control activities. Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers. Advises the same with respect to drug interactions, contraindications and other relevant information to ensure optimal and safe drug therapy. Serves all patients to include, but not limited to, neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

The Unit Based Pharmacist will be working three 12hr shifts per week + every fourth weekend

REQUIRED:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Must have an active GA Pharmacy license.

PREFERRED:

• One (1) year of previous hospital pharmacy experience.
• Good communication skills.
