The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a leader to oversee the specialty pharmacy program, providing clinical oversight, operational leadership, and staff management to ensure optimal patient care, appropriate drug selection, dosing, and cost effectiveness.

You will collaborate with specialty pharmacists and technicians, develop and coordinate programs, maintain regulatory compliance and accreditation standards, and perform human resource functions to support a high-performing team.

Formación

• PharmD degree and completion of a pharmacy residency program or 2+ years as a registered clinical pharmacist with specialty experience.
• Leadership and/or supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting.

Job Description Summary

Under the general guidance of the Specialty Pharmacy Management provide clinical oversight, operational leadership, and staff management within the specialty pharmacy program. In collaboration with Specialty pharmacists and technicians ensure that the Specialty Pharmacy provides optimal care to patients as evidenced by proper drug selection, dose, route, duration of therapy, and cost effectiveness. Develop, implement, and coordinate pharmacy programs and enhance the quality of existing services within specialty pharmacy. Collaborate with team members to optimize the delivery of care, ensure relevant patient safety, regulatory adherence, ensure certification and/or accreditation standards are maintained, and perform various required human resource functions.

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of a pharmacy residency program and demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience or 2-4 years of work experience as a registered clinical pharmacist with at least 1 year of specialty pharmacy experience and demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience

Licenses/Certifications

• SC Pharmacist License
• Current BLS Certification
• CSP Certification (preferred but not required)
• BCACP Certification (preferred but not required)

Additional Job Description

Education: Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of a pharmacy residency program or 2 years of work experience as a registered pharmacist. Licenses and certifications: SC Pharmacist License, Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
