Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Pharmacist-In-Charge to provide operational and clinical leadership within a specialty area, collaborating with the health care team to ensure optimal drug therapy and cost effective care for patients.

You will develop and coordinate pharmacy programs, oversee safety and regulatory standards, and supervise pharmacy personnel, stepping in as PIC when required to maintain compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of a pharmacy residency program or 2 years of work experience as a registered pharmacist.
• SC Pharmacist License required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and clinical pharmacy leadership within a specialty area.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize drug therapy, ensure safety and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate pharmacy programs and services.
• Serve as Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) or assume PIC duties when necessary to ensure regulatory compliance.
