Job summary

West Boca Medical Center is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care, oversee dispensing, and support patient therapy with attention to safety and accuracy. The pharmacist will advise on medication usage, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in dispensing system oversight.

The position requires a Florida pharmacy license, ACPE-education background, and hospital experience in unit dose/IV admixture; BLS within 30 days is required, ACLS/PALS if code attendance is needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy preferred.
• Hospital pharmacy experience in unit dose and IV admixture preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to relate effectively to hospital staff, department heads, administration and medical staff.
• Current & valid Florida License as Registered Pharmacist.
• Pharmacy license; BLS within 30 days of hire (ACLS and/or PALS if code attendance required).
• Preferred: Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS), CGP, etc.

Responsibilities

• Oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing and proper documentation of patient medication therapy; provide drug information and oversight of information and dispensing systems.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations; advise physicians on medication utilization.
