Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Specialist for the OR at Bellevue Medical Center in Nebraska. The role focuses on supervising pharmacy services and ensuring optimal pharmaceutical care for surgical patients on the inpatient unit.

This full-time position requires a PharmD (ACPE-accredited) or a PharmD-equivalent with significant experience, licensure eligibility, and BLS certification. You will join a collaborative team supporting physicians, nurses, and technicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of Pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association endorsed program.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality patient care in the inpatient setting.
• Supervise pharmacy services in assigned patient care area and ensure all medication-related needs are met.
• Work proactively as a member of teams to ensure provision of optimal pharmaceutical care and drive quality improvement.

• First shift / Full-Time M-F 5:30-14:00

• Potential for some evenings, weekends, holidays based on department needs (likely every 4thweekend and 2-3 evenings per 4 week period)

Pharmacist Specialist - Inpatient - OR Description:

Provide the highest quality patient care. Supervise pharmacy services in assigned patient care area and ensure all medication related patient and care provider needs are met. Work proactively as a member of a team(s) to ensure the provision of optimal pharmaceutical care. Demonstrate a dedication to continual and constant quality improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.

• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program, as deemed appropriate for patient facing roles and relevant to practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

• American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred.

• Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.
