Loyola Medicine, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a pharmacist to join the hospital pharmacy team in a part-time registry role with rotating shifts. The position focuses on delivering pharmaceutical care, overseeing dispensing processes, and supporting the care team in a fast-paced academic hospital setting.

Required are a PharmD or BPharm, 1–2 years of experience, and residency in Pharmacy Practice (ACLS a plus).

Qualifications

• PharmD or BPharm required.
• Residency in Pharmacy Practice - General preferred.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to hospital patients including oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing and documentation of patient medication therapy, and provide drug information and oversight of dispensing systems.
• Supervise the work of pharmacy technicians to ensure high-quality services and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Coordinate communication between the pharmacy and healthcare team to deliver pharmacy services.

What you'll do:

• Clinical staff pharmacists provide pharmaceutical care services to all patients of the hospital including, but not limited to, oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing and proper documentation of patient medication therapy as well as providing drug information and oversight over information and dispensing systems. Pharmacists will work with the pharmacy team to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations, as well as proper storage and documentation of pharmaceuticals. This position processes medication orders for age-appropriate and disease-appropriate medication therapy, supervises the work of pharmacy technicians to ensure the delivery of high quality pharmaceutical services, provide medication information to other health care team members to assist them in their patient care activities, and acts as an interface between pharmacy and its customers to coordinate the delivery of Pharmacy services.

What you'll need for this job:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)


• Residency: Pharmacy Practice - General (Preferred)


• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience


• Preferred: ACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support Certified)

Compensation:

Pay Rate: $69.40 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
