Job summary

A-Team Solutions is seeking a pharmacist for the CMOP Leavenworth location, working Monday through Friday between 6am and 6pm with varying days and shifts.

Responsibilities include managing drug stock, promoting formulary adherence, reviewing orders for safety, and supervising pharmacy staff. Must maintain licensure and have strong communication and computer skills. This is a part-time position with standard benefits.

  • Review physician orders and monitor patient profiles for interactions and contraindications.
  • Ensure timely refilling of patient medications and updating records.
  • Provide drug information to staff and patients; advise on drug therapy problems.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure accuracy of work performed.

Job description

A-Team Solutions is seeking Pharmacist for the CMOP Leavenworth to work M-F between the 6a-6p. Varying days and shifts available.

Job Duties
  • Maintain drug stock par levels, to ensure drug inventory turnover.
  • Encourage generic and preferred formulary usage while maintaining contract adherence.
  • Receives and interprets physicians' medication orders; monitors patient medication profiles to guard against sensitivities, contraindications, duplications, and major drug interactions
  • Assures the accurate and timely refilling of patient medication
  • Assures maintenance of patients' medication records
  • Provide drug information to other health care providers and patients. Consults and advises members of the medical staff on matters relating to specific drug therapy problems; provides drug information and other informational materials to members of the medical and nursing staff; works with medical and/or nursing personnel to resolve problems involving pharmacy services
  • Coordinates and supervises work-place activities and resources; promotes professional competence; assures that services rendered, and work performed are in accordance with specific standards; advises, assists, and supervises work of pharmacy technicians; assumes final responsibility for accuracy of their work
  • Prepares special medications involving compounding procedures and sterile products using aseptic techniques when necessary
  • Assist with training programs of pharmacy interns, residents, students, and technicians; provides information in all pertinent areas of pharmacy practices, policies, and procedures
Required Experience
  • Minimum of B.S. in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
  • Previous community pharmacy supervisory or managerial experience
  • Be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. Pharmacists must be a graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university. Pharmacists licensed but subjected to disciplinary action of any type by their licensing authority within the preceding five years must be referred to CMOP management before proceeding with the hiring action.
  • Must be licensed for controlled substances.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills with coworkers and staff.
  • Have basic typing skills, PC computer skills, working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently under the authority of U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).
  • Able to sit/stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours) and being able to lift totes weighing up to 30 pounds repetitively.
