Job summary

Southern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital, a Select Medical and Vibra Healthcare partnership, is hiring a Pharmacist in Bowling Green, KY. Schedule is full-time with Monday–Friday 8a–5pm and rotating weekends; on-call at least one week and one weekend per month.

Responsibilities include knowledge of drug distribution, central operations, IV admixture, clinical support, maintaining supplies, and patient discharge counseling, with a focus on continuous quality improvement and staff training.

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure required.
  • BLS if required by state.
  • Post offer employment testing (POETs) completed as part of onboarding.

  • Knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution, central operations and IV admixture.
  • Provide clinical support for hospital pharmacy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy.
  • Instruct patients on medications to be used after discharge.
  • Develop and participate in new employee training programs.
  • Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities


  • As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.

  • Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.

  • Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.

  • Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.

  • Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.

  • Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.

  • Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications



  • Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.

  • Current State licensure required.

  • BLS if required by State.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
