Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - West TN in Jackson, TN is seeking a Per Diem/PRN Pharmacist to cover rotating weekends. The role focuses on drug distribution, IV admixture, and clinical support within a fast-paced inpatient setting.

You will ensure proper drug supplies, discharge counseling, and participate in training and quality initiatives. The position offers an extensive orientation and potential pathways to full-time opportunities, with 401k eligibility after 1,000 hours and a strong team

Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Responsibilities

• Have working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on drugs after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
