Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Pharmacist to join its hospital pharmacy team. You will contribute to medication safety, compounding, dispensing, and clinical review across infant to geriatric patients.

The role requires graduation from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy and Georgia licensure upon hire; hospital experience preferred but not required. You will work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy.
• No experience required; hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• PHARMD license in Georgia required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Distributes, documents and compounds drugs, solutions and equipment for patients and staff.
• Reviews, compounds, dispenses and monitors medication therapy across infants to geriatrics.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and ensures competency.
• Provides patient-focused care to optimize medication therapy.

Responsibilities

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
