Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL seeks a Pharmacist to deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services. You will ensure safe, cost-effective drug therapy, educate staff and patients, and support ongoing education and research activities across inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Requirements include graduation from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy, Florida licensure or eligibility, and strong communication skills; PharmD preferred and two years of healthcare pharmacy experience are desirable for

Overview

Responsible for the provision of clinical pharmacy services for patients receiving treatment within his/her assigned area. Provide safe, cost-effective drug therapy for all patients; Educates co-workers, healthcare providers, and patients on the proper use and monitoring of pharmaceuticals. Ensure the safe and accurate ordering and administering of all drugs and biologicals by following all laws, rules, regulations and standards of practice applicable to Pharmacy. Actively participates in relevant education and research activities.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy. PharmD preferred. Two years pharmacy experience in an organized health care setting preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to interact with supervisors, peers, support personnel and students.Demonstrated understanding of general hospital and ambulatory operations.
