Job summary

Northeast Georgia Rehabilitation Institute, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Pharmacist to join a team focused on medication management and education. This PRN role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary group to optimize drug therapy and patient outcomes.

Applicants should have a Pharmacist degree with Georgia licensure; hospital pharmacy experience is desirable. On-call duties are required as part of this role, contributing to comprehensive patient care across the facility.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy; Pharm.D. preferred.
  • Georgia Pharmacist license required.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve drug-related problems.
  • Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students.
  • Documents interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement.
  • Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to entry; checks after filling by technicians.

How you'll contribute

A Pharmacist who excels in this role:

  • Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
  • Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
  • Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
  • Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry. Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.

What we're looking for

Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Pharmacist degree. Pharm.D. preferred

  • Licenses/Certification: Pharmacy License in the State of Georgia
  • Experience: Experience in hospital pharmacy is desirable.
