Job summary

CompleteRx is hiring a Pharmacist (PRN) to join Champion Pharmacy, a retail pharmacy located inside CHRISTUS Southern New Mexico in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Responsibilities include ensuring safe, appropriate, cost-effective drug therapies, interpreting drug orders, assisting with pharmacokinetics, maintaining patient profiles, supervising staff, and building relationships with physicians and nursing.

A NM license and one year of pharmacist experience preferred; immunization certification

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of New Mexico (NM).
• One year of experience as a registered pharmacist preferred.
• Retail 340B experience preferred.
• APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certification preferred or willing to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, appropriate, cost-effective drug therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Interpret drug orders (verbal and written) and transcribe to computerized patient medication profiles accurately.
• Assist with pharmacokinetics consult service and drug dosing per hospital protocol.
• Maintain accurate, complete pharmacy patient medication profiles.
• Complete all assigned medication storage area inspections in a timely manner.
• Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy.
• Build and nurture relationships with physicians and nursing.

Pharmacy Operating Hours:

• Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm
• Saturday and Sunday, 10am - 4pm
• This position will provide coverage as needed for call-outs, vacations, and holidays.
