Valley Health System seeks a pharmacist to take primary responsibility for clinical and distributive pharmaceutical services at The Valley Hospital-Paramus. The role requires a B.S. or PharmD and NJ license, with preferred 1 year hospital experience.
Day shift with strong emphasis on accuracy, patient care, and emergency readiness. Candidates should be adept with unit-dose dispensing systems and IV admixture programs, and able to communicate effectively with staff across health-system
POSITION SUMMARY:
To accept primary responsibility for the provision of clinical and distributive pharmaceutical services.
EDUCATION:
B.S. or PharmD. in Pharmacy, New Jersey Pharmacist license.
EXPERIENCE:
One year experience in hospital pharmacy preferred. Basic knowledge and experience with unit dose dispensing system and i.v. admixture programs.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Basic understanding of computer operation. A general knowledge of clinical pharmacy skills and drug information practices. Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods. Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities and solve problems. Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests. Effective communication skills (orally and in writing). Ability to assist in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Pay Range: $64.05 - $80.06 (per hour)
