Pharmacists perform functions related to the control, monitoring and dispensing of medications for all age groups of patients according to department procedures and protocols in a safe, cost effective and timely manner. Supervises medication preparation by pharmacy technicians and advises nursing personnel regarding appropriate medication administration. Pharmacists promote the rational use of medications via provision of drug information and clinical monitoring services to members of the medical community.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Doctorate in Pharmacy ( Pharm.D.) strongly preferred,

Minimum Requirements

• Active Pharmacist License in the State of CT

EXPERIENCE

• 1 year experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
