Job summary

Huntington Health in Pasadena, CA seeks a Pharmacist Per Diem to supervise and coordinate pharmaceutical care for hospital patients. Requires California pharmacist license and BLS; shift is part-time, days, on-site.

Base pay ranges from $89.04 to $119.70 per hour, with additional incentives and a comprehensive benefits program available for qualifying positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or higher degree required.
• PharmD from an accredited school preferred.
• Completion of a postgraduate residency preferred.
• Current unrestricted California Pharmacist license (RPH).
• Current BLS certification by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate delivery of pharmaceutical care to hospital patients.
• Evaluate, distribute, and monitor prescribed therapy to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Respond to Code Rapid Response and Code Blue emergencies; transport emergency pharmacy medications as needed.

Expectations

Supervises and coordinates the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients of the hospital. Pharmaceutical care is the evaluation, distribution, and monitoring of prescribed therapy which provide positive patient outcomes. Maintains current California Pharmacist license. This position may require flexibility of hours.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or higher degree required.

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy preferred.

Experience/Training

Completion of a postgraduate residency is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

Required:

Current unrestricted Registered Pharmacist license (RPH) issued by California State Board of Pharmacy

Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association

Skills

Requires mobility to be able to respond quickly to Code Rapid Response and Code Blue situations and to be able to transport the emergency pharmacy medication box.

Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $89.04 - $119.70.
