Job summary

Kentfield and San Francisco Specialty Hospital is seeking a pharmacist for a per diem role at our San Francisco facility. You will fill and dispense medication orders while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

The position requires a California Pharmacist license, a BLS credential, and strong organizational skills; a PharmD is preferred, with experience in pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation. ACLS and acute care experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree from a College/School of Pharmacy required.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of California.
• Current, valid, and active BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• Experience with pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Prior acute care experience preferred.
• Experience with automated dispensing and EMR systems.

Salary Range: $70.74 - $85.00 Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a Per Diem position based at our San Francisco facility

POSITION SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises the following positions: Provides supervision and leadership to the Pharmacy Technicians.

QualificationsLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science Degree from a College/School of Pharmacy required.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of California
• Current, valid, and active BLS Certification from the American Heart Association

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• Experience with pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation preferred.
• TPN experience preferred.
• Current, valid and active BLS and ACLS certifications from an approved vendor preferred.
• Previous acute care experienced preferred.
• Automated pharmacy dispensing.
• IV Laminar flow hood.
• Electronic medical records experienced preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Kentfield and San Francisco Specialty Hospital.
