Job summary

Florida Health Care Plans is seeking a Pharmacist for the Pharmacy Division in Daytona Beach. This pool, 1st shift role covers Volusia, Brevard and Seminole counties, with as-needed hours.

The Pharmacist will dispense medications, maintain patient profiles for accuracy, assist supervision of pharmacy staff, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws. A focus on safety and quality is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Prefer more than 2 years retail pharmacy experience.
• Currently licensed to practice Pharmacy in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Dispense drugs and verify dosage orders for accuracy and safety.
• Maintain patient profiles with accurate drug therapies and allergies.
• Assist in supervision of pharmacy personnel and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain records for patient charges and inventory control.
• Monitor controlled substances with proper documentation and security.
• Contribute to performance improvement and risk management initiatives.
