Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, FL is seeking a Pharmacist to educate patients and care teams on safe medication use and to provide timely, cost-effective therapy. You will participate in rounds, supervise staff, and help optimize documentation and decision support across central and satellite pharmacies.

Responsibilities include monitoring orders, conducting pharmacokinetic dosing, and contributing to quality improvement and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) with current license to practice.
• Pharmacy degree and relevant professional certifications.
• Experience in hospital settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate and counsel patients, families, and healthcare team on safe medication use.
• Provide safe, timely medication therapy and participate in stewardship and programs.
• Engage in direct patient care and interdisciplinary rounds throughout transitions of care.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff and learners; support education and development.
• Identify and help resolve medication safety events and errors.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EHRs, pharmacy informatics, and automation to optimize care.
• Contribute to practice advancement through research and specialty alignment.
• Perform all pharmacist functions across central, satellite, and IV areas.
• Review orders and monitor patient profiles to prevent drug-related problems.
• Complete pharmacist consults and adjust dosing as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and accreditation activities.
