Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Pharmacist to create an outstanding customer experience and lead pharmacy operations. You will ensure accurate prescriptions, administer vaccines, counsel patients, and maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable laws.

You will also manage inventory, maintain records, and uphold professional standards to support a safe, clean and welcoming pharmacy environment for customers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure in good standing (state)
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Effective oral/written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers' prescription needs with emphasis on accuracy
• Administer vaccines as needed
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws (including HIPAA)
• Maintain professional image and pharmacy standards
• Know the trade area, customers and competition
• Create positive pharmacy department image through service and cooperation
• Monitor stock, inventory, policies, records, security and recalls
• Maintain records and security on scheduled drugs
• Follow procedures for handling pharmacy products from authorized sources
• Utilize accuracy tools and post-dispensing audits
• Maintain records for legal compliance and company policies
• Keep work area neat and professional
