Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacist to fulfill prescription needs, counsel patients and ensure compliance with laws. Vaccinations may be administered and quality standards maintained in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting.

The role requires pharmacy licensure, strong communication skills and the ability to handle stressful situations, with at least one year of retail experience. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required.
• Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Effective oral/written communication skills.
• 1 year of retail experience.
• Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing).

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers' prescription needs with emphasis on accuracy.
• Administer vaccines as needed.
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers.
• Ensure pharmacies comply with all local, state and federal laws (including HIPAA).
• Maintain a professional image through conduct and appearance and pharmacy standards.
• Develop knowledge of the trade area, customers and competition.
• Monitor stock replenishment, inventory levels, pricing and planograms.
• Maintain records and security on scheduled drugs and inventory.
• Ensure equipment and signage are kept in working condition and compliant.
