Job summary

This role emphasizes drug therapy optimization, high operational standards, and quality initiatives. The position requires MA licensure, immunization and BLS certification, and flexibility to cover multiple sites in the region.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Pharmacy; Pharm D or Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy
• Complete 20 CE credits per year as required by MA Board of Pharmacy
• Registered Pharmacist in MA with active license
• Immunization certified
• AHA BLS certification
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and cash handling
• Willingness to work float schedule with primary Somerville location and coverage at Atrius Health sites in region

Responsibilities

• Reviews and fills prescriptions, explains usage and charges, provides counseling
• Verifies prescriptions for accuracy and interactions; maintains patient profiles
• Oversees pharmacy staff; coaches and trains interns/technicians
• Manages drug inventory, documentation, and quality initiatives, supports compliance
