Job summary

Via Care Community Health Center seeks a Staff Pharmacist to provide expert medication guidance, review prescriptions, and ensure safe dispensing within regulatory guidelines, company policies, and quality standards.

The role supports the pharmacy manager and director in optimizing financials, inventory control, and delivering excellent customer service while supervising staff and maintaining compliance.

Clinical services include immunizations and patient counseling to promote preventive care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (Rph) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from a school recognized by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• Current license in good standing by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS Card.
• Minimum two years of experience as a registered pharmacist, preferred in Community Health Centers.
• Conversational in Medical-Pharmacy Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Pharmacy Technicians, Interns and ancillary personnel, ensuring a safe, efficient workflow.
• Provides drug information to physicians, staff and patients.
• Assists programs to increase efficiency or cost-effectiveness of patient care.
• Prepares and dispenses medication; verifies accuracy and dosage.
• Counsels patients on prescriptions and potential interactions; communicates with medical staff.
