Responsibilities

• Provide professional pharmacy services, including filling prescriptions, counseling patients and supervising pharmacy technicians.
• Counsel patients on possible side effects of medications and drug interactions; ensure understanding of treatment plans.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter data into computer system; supervise pharmacy technicians during filling.
• Administer immunizations under defined protocols and provide patient education.
• Monitor patient profiles and maintain inventory and records; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with prescribers regarding drug therapy appropriateness and safety.
• Follow procedures for efficient and accurate dispensing; perform daily operational duties under supervision.
