Job summary

SpartanNash, delivering grocery and pharmaceutical services, is seeking a Pharmacist in Goshen, Indiana. You will oversee dispensing, counsel customers, manage inventory, and lead pharmacy staff to ensure accurate service and compliance with regulations.

The role requires a Doctorate or PharmD, a valid license in good standing, and 3 years in a pharmaceutical department, with immunization certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field required.
• Pharmacy license in good standing in the state of operation.
• Three years experience in pharmaceutical department.
• Immunization certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security rules, pharmacy laws, rules, and guidelines.
• Strong communication skills and customer service mindset.
• Proven leadership abilities in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive prescription and refill requests from customers and clinics, fill prescriptions efficiently and accurately and courteously.
• Dispense medications as prescribed; oversee accurate retrieval, counting, pouring, weighing, mixing, packaging and labeling.
• Provide medication counsel to customers on prescriptions and OTC meds including interactions and storage.
• Order, stock, check inventory, perform cycle counts for prescription and OTC items; maintain department familiarity.
• Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count or weight and ensure proper storage of products.
• Maintain pharmacy records including customer profiles, insurance forms, records, inventories and registries.
• Lead and/or oversee pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure efficient and accurate service.
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked department and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Implement pharmacy programs such as security measures and immunizations; provide clinical care as assigned.
• Understand and communicate company service and loyalty programs; model high service standards.
