Red Rock Pharmacy in Springville, Utah is seeking Pharmacists to join our growing team on a full-time, part-time, or PRN basis. We specialize in customized medication solutions and dedicated patient care.

You will compound medications, perform quality checks, ensure USP and regulatory compliance, collaborate with prescribers, and provide clear counseling to patients while supervising technicians and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Utah pharmacist license in good standing.
• Previous compounding experience, including sterile and non-sterile, preferred.
• Working knowledge of USP standards (USP 795/797/800) and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Compound medications based on prescriptions to meet patient needs.
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding with accuracy and proper safety procedures.
• Maintain quality checks, calculations, ingredient verification, and final product inspections.
• Ensure all activities comply with USP standards, FDA/DEA regulations, and Utah Board requirements.
• Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare providers to develop customized therapies.
• Communicate with patients and providers about prescriptions, usage, and options.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure safe, accurate compounding and operations.

Pharmacist

Red Rock Pharmacy is a fast-growing compounding pharmacy located in Springville, UT, specializing in customized medication solutions for patients and healthcare providers. We are currently seeking Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN Pharmacists to join our growing team.

Specific Pharmacist Duties

• Compounding & Medication Preparation: Prepare, compound, and formulate customized medications based on patient-specific prescriptions and requirements.
• Sterile & Non-Sterile Compounding: Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding, including injections, ophthalmic preparations, topical formulations, capsules, and other customized dosage forms, while following established procedures, quality standards.
• Quality Assurance: Perform and document appropriate quality checks, calculations, ingredient verification, and final product inspections to ensure the safety, accuracy, and quality of compounded medications.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all compounding activities comply with applicable USP standards, including USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800>, as well as FDA, DEA, and Utah Board of Pharmacy requirements.
• Clinical Consultation: Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare providers to develop appropriate customized therapies and provide professional consultation regarding compounded medications.
• Patient Communication: Communicate with patients and healthcare providers regarding prescriptions, medication use, potential concerns, and customized treatment options.
• Technician Supervision: Supervise and provide direction to pharmacy technicians involved in compounding and pharmacy operations, ensuring proper procedures, accuracy, and patient safety.
• Documentation & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate compounding records, formulas, logs, and other required documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Pharmacy Operations: Assist with general pharmacy operations and contribute to a clean, organized, efficient, and professional compounding environment.
