Job summary

Qualifications

• Active Utah pharmacist license in good standing.
• Previous compounding experience preferred (but not required), including sterile and/or non-sterile compounding.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy compounding regulations and standards.
• Familiarity with USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800> preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient safety.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a pharmacy team.
• Professional, dependable, and adaptable approach to pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Compounding and preparation of customized medications per prescriptions.
• Sterile and non-sterile compounding, including injections, ophthalmic, topical forms, capsules.
• Quality assurance: document checks, ingredient verification and final product inspections.
• Ensure compliance with USP standards, FDA, DEA and Utah Board requirements.
• Provide clinical consultation and collaborate with prescribers.
• Communicate with patients and providers about prescriptions and usage.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure safe operations.
• Maintain accurate compounding records and documentation.
• Support overall pharmacy operations and environment.
